Junior band from many years ago.... do you recognise yourself?

 MELTHAM and MELTHAM MILLS JUNIOR BAND

After many years of sterling work by Mr Tony Clarke, he has decided to relinquish the position of Conductor.

Although numbers are very low at the moment, it is my intention to revive this ensemble and build up a functional Junior Band, capable of performing  and joining with the Senior Band in concert.

My name is Stuart Fawcett, and, after conducting the Senior Band for 10years, I have retired and now focussing my efforts on our younger players. I’m sure many parents (and grandparents) are familiar with the progress of the Meltham and Meltham Mills Band, and I look forward to enjoying the same enthusiasm and application to the Junior Band.

I am therefore inviting interest from anyone ---- total beginners or young/older players who perhaps are not yet involved in an ensemble.

Rehearsals will be on Tuesdays 6.30 to 7.30 in our bandroom; Bent House, Tinker Lane, Meltham (for full details please click here) and will commence on Tuesday 20^th September: several instruments are available at no charge.
